While I'm on hold to customer services, I thought I'd see if anyone picks this up in the interim.
I was told that my line installation would happen on the 19th of this month. I noticed that the email I got from Plusnet mentioned a phone number, so I decided to ring it from my mobile - to my surprise there was a ringing.
Weird, I thought. So I decided to plug a phone into the wall and try again - it rang the phone. It also worked the other way and I could ring my mobile from the phone plugged into the wall.
Does this mean the line is ready to use? Also wondering about the money I paid for the installation fee as the Openreach engineer might not be needed.
All advice greatly appreciated.
