Is my personal data secure within Plusnet?

I placed an order with Plusnet yesterday, making a payment with a never-before-used credit card.

Within 24 hours, 6 transactions were placed on the card.

Can Plusnet confirm that their staff are not responsible?

Is there a Fraud Department who would look into this?

Have any other recent customers experienced this, had their suspicions but ultimately not been able to point the finger?

I do not recall anyone else having this issue.

I think your first stop is to contact the card company asap as they may be in a better position to answer your query.

In any event the card will have to be blocked and a new card issued, after that inform PN the card has been blocked

Re: Is my personal data secure within Plusnet?

Card company and Police advised.

Fortunately I'm being reimbursed so I am not out of pocket.

I can't escape the though that a member of staff is responsible (the card has sat unused in my wallet since issue until yesterday) and has other of my personal data to abuse.

Whoever decided on a shopping spree with my card is clearly an idiot as they placed an order with Netflix and Sports Direct - one will give their IP address, the other their postal address!

@Rhedeg, you don't have to answer (obviously) but was the card in question an MBNA one?
