How long it takes to be connected?

I requested to move from VM to Plus net recently. I was given a date of 20/04 for all phone, etc services to be connected and working. However, it appears Openreach, the supplier are again trying to cause unnecessary delays in coming to fix a phone connection. I have emailed customer services and I do not understand why this delay, in these of most  difficult times.

@Gh06  VM use their own network and lines to your property, so Openreach would need to install a new line.

Do you have an existing BT line in your property? If so when was it last used?

When the engineer called at the beginning of this month, he told me there was no BT connection. However,he was requesting one but this would be completed in about  a  fortnight
