Engineer visit

Hi,

My router was sent out on 22nd Oct, but I have had no contact to advise if I need an engineer. My old service provider will switch off my phone line on 26th Oct. I need to have a phone line and broadband the same day. I have a normal phone line, but this is my first broadband.
please can you advise if I need an engineer and if one will be there on or before 26th October

Re: Engineer visit

If you already have a phone line, then there's no need for the engineer(BT Openreach) to visit your premises. If you have ordered standard broadband(ADSL) then the engineer will visit the local exchange to make the broadband connection, if it's Fibre broadband(FTTC) then he/she will visit the local cabinet to make the connection. You should receive an email/text on the day to say your phone has transferred & broadband is live and to plug in your router.
