Emails/texts to say services are live but no phone or internet working

Apparently my landline has been live since Aug 9 but the line is dead. I also recieved an email, like my phone services, saying my internet is good to go but I cant access the net. Whats going on. I can only access the net via this stupid mobile which is like surfing high speed internet on an atari! Plus there is a 20min+ wait on the phone which I cant afford to do. Im stuck in limbo here.

Support calls on 0800 numbers are free on mobiles so just hang on for a while for an answer.

Hi there, line tests have picked up on a fault, I've reported this with Openreach. As it's an external issue we should be able to get this resolved for you over the next few days without the need for an engineer visit.
