Earlier activation date?
I have taken a new plusnet connection with a new phone line, line's been activated today and router dispatched, i thought it would get activated in a day or two, but the completion date given is 24/10 , why another week?
we need it desperately as its been almost 2 weeks without internet now and kids(both toddlers) are frustrated, have already spent ridiculous amount of money on mobile internet. Can the activation date be made earlier please, don't know why it needs this much time

Unfortunately this is because we had to place the phone order as a new line installation, this means we have to wait for this to complete before placing the broadband order. The minimum lead time on a new broadband order is 4 working days I'm afraid. We did advise of this on the 10th October as part of the signup email you received too:
What happens next?
* An engineer needs to install your phone service
* This will happen on 18/10/2016 AM
* Once your phone service has been installed, your broadband should be activated within 5-7 working days
* Your wireless router will be in the post soon - please don't plug it in until we've confirmed that your service is ready
