Considering a move from Virgin - any extra setup charges?

Hi,

Considering a move from Virgin to fibre broadband.

My house last had BT about 20 years ago. The cable from the pole is still connected and I have the old BT wall sockets - one master and one extension.

Will there be a connection charge and if so, how much is it likely to be?

Would an engineers visit be needed to replace the old BT master socket or would it still be OK.

Thanks in advance!

Fix

Hi @ctdctd Thanks for your interest in Plusnet,

If the BT line you had at your address is showing as intact and usable on the supplier ordering system, we'd be able to reactivate this remotely without incurring an installation fee for an engineer.

If that's not the case we'd need to arrange an engineer visit to connect the phone line up which costs £49.99 and they'd more than likely modernise your old telephone socket while they're there.

If you can send me a PM with your full address I'd be happy to check this for you.
