Change activation date

Hi all

Apologies as I know this may have been posted numerous time.
But I cannot see the answer on any of the posts.

Switching to fibre BB and phone from sky. Was provided a switch date of 5.2.2018 then the 7.2.2018.
However got a letter from sky stating that transfer will be on the 5.2.2018.

No issuses with the change of date. More of a query as to will I be without service for 2 days. Or will the service continue and the the fibre updates on the 7th.
Hoping both phone and BB remain useable.

IF Sky followed the correct procedure as specified by OFCOM they would not terminate your current service until they received notification from OpenReach that your service had transferred away (i.e. you were now on Plusnet). However Sky are notorious for early terminations - if there is a gap it is more likely to be Sky's fault that Plusnet's - and Sky won't be bothered if they upset you as they are losing you as a user anyway.
