CHECKING YOUR LINE We're running the final checks on your telephone line.

Been waiting a couple of weeks now for my BB in my new to me house. The phone line was activated 4 days after the order was placed, but the BB seems to be stuck at the above stage.

 

How long can it take to run a line test?

 

I was in a previous life an Openreach engineer so am aware as a line takeover this should theoretically be a simple task.

 

How long should this usually take? Maybe I'm being simplistic, but shouldn't it just be a case of getting an active port at the DSLAM, getting an OR engineer to go and do the jumpering in the cab and sending out a modem?

 

Fingers crossed it is soon, because quarantine without BB is rather boring!
