Broadband still not activated

An engineer came to connect my service nearly 3 weeks ago, and I received my router last week but I still have not received a message that my broadband has been activated. How long should I expect this to take? Thanks

Re: Broadband still not activated

Welcome to the forums, @sarahfarr95 . It may not work, but have you tried plugging the modem/router in and seeing what happens? The 'you are connected' emails do have a habit of not being generated/disappearing.

Re: Broadband still not activated

Hi John, thanks for the response. I had tried plugging it in before and the broadband light was flashing green, but could be worth trying again?

Nothing to lose, @sarahfarr95 . What were the other lights doing?

Re: Broadband still not activated

A flashing broadband light on the router means that the there’s no sync to the exchange which may be that engineering work hasn’t been complied yet.

Re: Broadband still not activated

Thanks for that, @Thrall . I knew there was a reason for that, just couldn't remember it and got side-tracked before I checked for the answer.
