Broadband activation confusion

Hello,

my order for fibre broadband was made on the 2nd July and after a long back and forth with my order being cancelled for some reason without notification and then placed again after making a call to the team; I was finally given an activation date which was texted to me on the 24th July stating activation will be on the 1st August, however today I received the same text that the activation will be on the 14th August and my next bill is due 24th August. I'm not sure what to believe? the router was delivered last week and especially because i work from home i am quite eager to have the broadband up and running asap as paying extra for phone data is not ideal. Can anyone help clarify what is going on and help get me activated?
