Broadband activation and lack of communication

Hi
Had several issues with our order to date and constantly seem to be chasing answers. Thought broadband was due to go live yesterday by midnight but still nothing and no replies to any queries.
Is this normal? Please can someone help as currently have no broadband and working from home is very difficult if you can't get online.
