Hello,
Well I guess it's Openreach who are the ones at fault here. I place an order through you I get 2nd October. I go and order BT Infinity and I am told 14th September.
Does OFCOM allow that?
I have a line which is physically here (and all faceplates etc) but has not been used in about a year
Cheers

Hello Pete.
To my knowledge, our suppliers should provide an equal service to all ISPs.
Is it possible that the 14th September may be a provisional date that's inevitably delayed once the order is placed an confirmed by suppliers?
Also, are you comparing the dates for the same type of services?
For example, I've seen orders delayed just by adding fibre broadband to it.

If the line has been inactive for that length of time it's very likely an engineer visit will be required as part of a new line installation.

Well, I called BT and they told me the 14th would be actual install day.
I've taken them up on it. I will let you know
And this is for Infinity 2 vs extra fibre - so yes

I've had the 14th confirmed for 8-1 install.
So you really DO need to find out why this is happening, I know you are owned by BT but still they are stuffing you up and I am sure that's not allowed.

Well, mY FTTC was installed today (2 days early) any my friend just signed up to Vodafone FTTC with a install date (confirmed) for 20th September.
And yet your now telling me 5th of October for you - so does not seem like your supplier is being equal at all.
