Today is supposed to be the day where we are switching from our old provider (TalkTalk) to Plusnet. Unfortunately, Talktalk turned off the connection in the middle of the night, while Plusnet hasn't activated the new one yet. I work fully remotely and when enquiring with Plusnet was assured this whole process would be seamless with maybe only a few minutes of downtime while switching routers around. My home has no mobile signal, so I have been sitting in a car park down the road trying to call customer service for the last hour. Is there any way to speed up activation? Will it guaranteed happen today? I googled around and of course found lots of stories of people being left without internet for weeks. That would cost me my job, so I'm now panicking. Anything I can do to speed up the process?
