7 Months and no install or compensation

I ordered and my order was accepted and paid for my first month's payment back at the start of May was given a install date of around 10 days later which came and went and was told that BT needed access to a cupboard (live in a MDU) I offered around 4/5 times over 7 months to let BT have access to this cupboard but not once was that offer taken and every 30 days I just got the same message over and over that will have to wait 30 days again then in Oct was given a install date again which was then cancelled and the same reason given about access to a cupboard!

Anyway 7 months later the order has been cancelled and Plusnet have said to call to discuss what to do next!

I've received no compensation in this time and I've been paying £70 a month since may for my current provider still , I've now had another message today to say if I don't contact them on 7 days my account will be closed and my original payment refunded but again no offer of nay compensation which I was told I would receive.

I'm not sure why the customer service team can spent the time to email me to call them but not call me to apologise and talk over what is happening next in the situation as I've been nothing but stress since this started

What can I do next about the compensation I was told I would get and I've tried to complain already but seem to just get generic answers

Thanks Tony

Re: 7 Months and no install or compensation

If access to this 'cupboard' is the issue preventing the installation and the subsequent cancellation of your install, my suggestion is to re-raise the order, wait for the inevitable  'sorry we can't  do this' response and then fire off a detailed but concise complaint to the CEO of Openreach and ask him to get the executive team on the job/

@Unhappychap1

I wouldn't wait - Google the email address of the OR CEO and email him.

This has produced results in the past.

If the order is cancelled there in is nothing for the Exec Team to investigate.

Is the cupboard in a public space? Is cabling needed outside of your property or is it pre-installed?  Do you have the authority to give Openreach permission or has it got to be with the sgreement of the building owner? Was your offer to give access in response to a request to you personally?

Is there more to this than initially meets the eye?
