underestimated usage

When I joined Plus net I underestimated our usage, last month I paid for extra usage but can,t find the facility again, can I therefore change plans before my next billing

Payment for over-usage is automatic. You can limit what extra you pay via the Manage My Usage screen under connection settings on the portal. If you set it to 0 you won't pay extra but will be speed limited should you go over your allowance.
Product changes happen on the next billing date, so even if you requested the change now, it will not happen until then. You would still be liable for any over-usage charges this month should that happen.
