time to renew- can i cancel and become a new customer?

my contract is due to end soon

i see i can get a much better deal via quidco for a "new" customer

could i let my contract finish /cancel and then wait 24 hrs and become a new customer?  or if someone else in the house signs up would that work

It. might if you cancelled your contract and did without phone and broadband for a few days then got another family member to sign up. You would lose your phone number and have to wait a further period to be reconnected. To be honest you would be better off moving ISP.

It’s a lot less hassle to find the cheapest deal around and with that knowledge ring customer services, select the I’m thinking of leaving option and haggle.

yeah might have to call and see  ..are they known to haggle ?

Yes, they might make a silly offer but you have to be armed with a competitors offer that they are prepared to either match or get close to. Vodaphone are a good marker, that is ,pretty cheap and mainstream.

I've had an excellent price match until now, but it took 4 months to get my bills correct, as staff on the phone were unable to do arithmetic, even with a calculator. My bill is a mess again and the person online asked for a few minutes to look at my account. Then the phone was cut off. No point in my calling back, as I'd be unlikely to get the same person and if he wanted to he could easily have called me.

doesnt sound so good....so they matched last years price ? 

i hope you get sorted quickly...they dont seem to help themselves keep existing customers
