storing my credit card details

just signed to plusnet for residential telephone and fibre optic broadband. about 2 hour ago!
I agreed to pay £207.85 upfront with my credit card. Took my money no problems there!
during the conversation I said I would rather pay by DD from my company account in future
answer no problem we will set up the DD, your credit card details will not be stored, we are just going to use  it the once for this payment.
Guess what my Credit Card is stored on PlusNet!
having read that some many companies loose card details from hackers I specifically did not want my card details stored
Sales people say anything to get you to sign up
PS How long is your tech support waiting time on average?
normally gets picked up within 6 rings!
on hold now for 20 minutes!

As per my reply to your other post I do understand your concerns but would also like to reassure you that any such details are stored securely.
However I've overwritten the card details on the account by changing the payment method to cheque.
I've re-enabled your access to the member centre so if you log in you should be able to see that those details have been removed from the account.
