random call to 123 on my bill

Hi,

I have a single random call to 123 listed on my phone bill. I don't ever phone the speaking clock, but I understand from other posts and other information out on t'internet that these random calls can and do appear on Plusnet bills.

What can I do to get this 50p charge removed, and avoid it happening again. At present I can't contact Support via Chat as it says all lines are busy, and I can't email Supprt via the Help Assistant as there is no link to ask a new question. I really don't want to spend hours on the phone trying to get the matter sorted.

Thanks for getting in touch. So with 123 calls sometimes these can be from engineers working on the line. I agree it is a little cheeky of them! I will credit it for you so there shouldn't be a charge for that on your bill.

Hi I have also had this on my latest bill. I actually noticed on the day in question- 2 Nov there was an open reach engineer working on the telegraph pole outside my house. Will you be complaining about this to open reach? And deducting the 50p from my bull? Thanks

@Mads From the info above OR can identify the engineer concerned.

It's time this practice was stamped out, and if some of the rogues were disciplined they might get the message.
