"As you’re not on a Fixed Price Contract" - errr since when?

I renewed my LRS and Broadband contracts to each run for 12 months from the 2nd October, or so I thought. PlusNet have now emailed me to tell me that it's not a fixed price contract. Is there some small print somewhere that I have missed?

I note the ticket that's been opened, but it doesn't tell me much so I assume I'll hear more in due course.

I'm still confused. The contract I'm now told that I'm on is the "Unlimited Fibre discount (12 months) - £8".
I tried my very best to renew my LRS and Broadband to start and end together and I foolishly thought I'd managed it. I also thought I had negotiated a renewal at the same price I was paying up to 2nd October.
A new/explanatory ticket has been raised just now and I shall reply to that. I just want continuity from my previous contract to the current one.
