Maybe i am being a bit pedantic here , but i believe i am correct about this .
My bill due date is today 11/1/15 as far as i was aware this date does not change until 00.00 or midnight tonight , so i should be able to pay my bill anytime during the day !.
as i pay my bill via my debit card i have no DD set up i simply call and pay .
So if my due date is 11/1/15 a 24 hour period , i was cut off !!! at 09.30 , or 9 and a half hours into the 24
surely i should not be cut off until the 24 hours has passed
ok yes i pressed acknowledge and continue , but i should not be asked to so until later today

The payment is due at 00:00 on the billing date which is at the start of the billing day. So being asked to pay is correct. The 9½ hours grace will be to when the billing run processed your account.

I'll turn the question round - If your employer told you that payday was the 11th, would you be happy if they paid you at 23:59 on the 11th?

I get your point.
It's generally subject to the billing run, which can vary it's time of completion.

Absolutely, and Plusnet say although your bill is due at the stroke of midnight, if you you delay payment by some hours (as long as it is received by the time the billing run processes your account) that will be no problem.

@ jelv , my bill states payment due on the 11th , but no where it says due at 00.00
so like i say the 11th is a 24 hour period ,, so in them 24 hours i should be able to pay anytime during that time before any restrictions .
like my payment from disability says due on a certain day , most of the time its in my bank on 00.00 the said day , but is not always the case it can and has been a later time .
