new plusnet connection

Excited to have my line installed today by BT openreach, it works straight away, they were very quick and efficient.
I tried to connect to the internet and can't,  I phoned plusnet and they tell me the internet won't work for another 10 days even though the line is working?!
Is this normal?
Very disappointed... another 10 days of paying for mobile broadband whilst ALSO paying for plusnet homephone which i ONLY had installed because i need the internet.
Surley I should have the choice of having the phone connected when the internet is ready to use? So i'm not paying for a service i don't need?

Hi FYI,
Sorry for a late reply here I can see that broadband was ordered and installed within a week of your line being installed. I'm sorry if any other expectations were set but in a lot of cases we're unfortunately not able to provide a simultaneous activation of both service.
