I would get in touch with Plusnet asap it appears the line may have been slammed.

Possibly but would the customer be told there leaving if they were been moved onto the new network?

I think it shows up in tickets as a cease.. however not knowing how the OP was informed by PN it's hard to draw any conclusions

Sorry for any concern, I can see that this was actually an order to move your line to a different provider but you've contacted us and we've cancelled that order off as you hadn't requested it.
