deferred hardware and set up?

I only placed my order for plus net last night but have just noticed in 'my account' that is shows hardware and set up totaling £65 and says deferred until cancellation,  i was under the impression when signing up that these items were free by taking a contract but now im wondering if ive misunderstood and i will need to pay this upon leaving even at the END of contract? surely not but can someone please clarify this? thanks

Re: deferred hardware and set up?

When you reach the 12 month point  they will change to nullified or equivalent.
The only one which will stay is
Cessation charge £25.00(upon cancellation) Activated
which is due if you leave without a MAC code as it is a charge for ceasing the broadband on the line

I see thats not as bad then, so if i leave with a mac code then its free to leave?

Re: deferred hardware and set up?

Only after paying any deferred charges, yes
i.e. if you took the Plusnet router and left within 12 months then you will have to pay for it in full before you can leave.

Hi scotslass,
Can't really add anything to the above, but if you do have any further questions please pop back and we'll do what we can.
