contract cancellation

I joined last friday.
However I want to cancel now.  What should I do now?
Do I just phone up and say I want to leave before the service is activated?

Re: contract cancellation

You need to ring between 9 and 5 and speak to cancellations.
Any reason you want to cancel so early?

Re: contract cancellation

Because I am not prepared to pay over £100 for a new phone number in regards to my phoneline or landline.
In simple terms, I cannot afford that right now.

Re: contract cancellation

Surely I don't have to pay cancellation charges do I?
The service hasn't been activated.

Re: contract cancellation

think you will find that the price is in the region of £40 definitely not £100

Re: contract cancellation

Hiya data476,
I'm not sure where that information came from, but a new installation of a phone line costs £49.99, not over £100.
We're attempting to restart your old line, only if that fails would the £49.99 become applicable.

Re: contract cancellation

I am very grateful for all advice I've recieved. I may ever come back to plusnet one day.

However, I have now cancelled my account because of my own personal circumstances. I not sure I can afford the costs right now for this form of broadband.
Thanks anyway.
