On the 10th of this month I increased my usage allowance by £5 and this was confirmed in a ticket.
I have just received this email

You've probably noticed that your broadband speeds are slower than usual,
this is because you've gone over your monthly usage allowance. Don't
worry, your speed will be back to normal at the end of your billing month.
If you'd like to return to full speed now, you'll need to increase your
usage allowance.
There are two ways to do this, you can either:
- Increase your usage allowance - (75p per GB added)
- Use what you like now and pay for it at the end of the month - (£1.00
per GB used)

Two questions
As my usage has just gone over 10GB why have I been throttled
Where did this stupid email come from as I am on Value where the increase is in 5GB chunks
Ticket raised - God it is a pain at these speeds - 41669401 and 41669403 (I don't know how that happened)

I'm sorry you were restricted when you shouldn't have been. This has now been rectified. I'm not sure why that happened and will have to investigate that further to make sure it doesn't happen to you again. Also, the email you received was rather strange and another thing I'll have to look into. I'm also not too impressed with the response you received to the ticket which I am just about to feedback about. Apologies once again. I will let you know once I find out why but the main thing for now at least is that it's sorted.

I think you should borrow Mand's cricket bat as the Agent clearly hadn't read the question and just gave a standard response related to going over the limit

From a personal point of view if such a thing was offered I would reject it as I prefer to be and be seen as independent from Plusnet
