Since WHEN was there a £2 a month charge for Plusnet Protect? Or is this because people choose 40/20?

It has always only been free on the more expensive accounts

Re: Woo Woo Woo Woo WOW!!

I see - thanks for that Jim.
He doesn't use it as it says he has no viruses when others say he is riddled so he canned it. I've removed it from his account for next month
Thanks for the info

Re: Woo Woo Woo Woo WOW!!

Just wanted to say it should be mentioned to people.
It was free on his £19.49 ADSL and his £1.75 ADSL but is not on his £15 FTTC - so yes people will carry on oblivious but it should still be made clear.

Re: Woo Woo Woo Woo WOW!!

But that does not suprise me
He was told £10 a month for 18 months - once on the phone with me listening and once in a ticket but still he's being charged the full price
All this with the install cockups and earlier - I really wish I had got him to BT
I have raised a ticket and will take it further if I have to, me i can't wait to leave. The PN I knew and once was proud to be a part of seems to have died a very long time ago

There are "anti-virus" applications which claim to have found loads of viruses and spyware then ask you for £££ to upgrade them to the "full" version and remove the "infected" items.
Here is just one of many examples : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6Ug4mVk92c

Hi Pete,
The first 3 months are free on most of the products, so that's likely why there was no charge when he was on ADSL.
