Re: White Screen of death

I got a dev to try it out in the latest FF nightly, (v67) and it loaded there.  Hmm!  (pm'd you about the source file)

I am running Firefox Quantum 64 bit v65.0 and it tells me Firefox is up to date.

When I installed v64 it insisted in upgrading to v65 but I refused.

Re: White Screen of death

I don't know if this is helpful.

There seems to be a problem with Firefox 65 on some but not all systems (mine works) which is mostly being discussed in relation to anti-virus packages. See https://www.ghacks.net/2019/02/01/mozilla-halts-firefox-65-distribution-on-windows/ The underlying issue is about access to https sites which makes me wonder if the Firefox issue - whatever it is - is also affecting @Strat access to Plusnet. I have no idea if it is the same problem.

That said, I haven't had problems accessing https sites with my Firefox 65.0 and can access my Plusnet account without a problem, albeit the process is very slow. But then, the Firefox problem (whatever it is) doesn't seem to affect my system.

Re: White Screen of death

Still getting the white screen on Firefox. I haven't cleared my cache because it would create a great inconvenience to do so. Is there another solution?

In Chrome, with a cleared cache, on looking at 'recent calls' I got a white screen, then looked at 'itemised bills' and got this: "There has been an issue; please consult your system administrator",

then on the third attempt I got to see both itemised calls and recent calls.

I think you still have some issues to resolve.

Re: White Screen of death

iso - you do not need to clear all the cache, you can just select the Plusnets - worth a shot?.

Re: White Screen of death

@BrightonRock Thanks for posting.

Having read the article I don't use Windows, Avast or AVG security products mentioned.

However that's not to say it won't cause problems elsewhere.

Re: White Screen of death

Thank you mikejphillips! Unfortunately, having selectively removed all traces of plusnet websites I still get the white screen on Firefox.

Very glad I've got Chrome to fall back on.

Re: White Screen of death

Hi @jamesanstee

I believe we managed to roll out a fix on some accounts. However, this is still an open issue within the incident tracker and remains unresolved for the most part. Please be assured that we are still working hard to resolve this as quickly as possible.

If there is anything I can assist you with please let me know.
