A friend of mine is just about to start a small business and I am intending to recommend plusnet .
However, I was trying to see which package would be good for him and it isn’t obvious. He is going to be a one man band using the web for emails and some surfing and a minimal web presence. To be honest I think the business equivalent of my BBYW option 2 will be more than adequate for him; he won’t exceed 15gb per month.
However there doesn’t seem to be a low cost business option for him. Both the cheaper options; ‘Teleworker’ and ‘Small Business’ priced either side of option 2 residential only offer 2 gb of transfer effectively option 1! That isn’t good. ‘Business’doesn’t even state what usage limits there are and is far more expensive.
Will this potential business customer be forced to pay £35 for a package that might be equal to a residential £15 account? The most he will ever use is an option 2 account but presumably because his line will be business rated he won’t be allowed to subscribe to that?

We have just signed up for a Teleworker -
and yes the 2G limit does look restrictive - but you can add more in 1G chunks
"Each additional 2GB of data transfer will cost £1.77 (ex VAT) on top of your standard subscription fee."

Cheers, I guess I will recommend he does that and keeps an eye on his ‘chunks’. I take it BBYW Option 2 is definitely out of the question?

On a Business line it would be I'm afraid.
Plus he wouldn't have access to our Business Support team
