When Exactly Does My Contract End ?

Hi

 

I took out a 12 month broadband contract with Plusnet last year. 

The initial charge is dated 11th November 2015. 

 

There was a special offer on the contract. I'm unlikely to be able to afford when the special offer ends.

As invoice dates, and actual debiting dates are not the same as the 11th, it's not clear to me when the contract 

actually ends, and I can give notice without penalty ?

Call Customer Options Team /Cancellations; see what they offer 0845 140 6002;
you should have received an email from PN prior to current contract running out.

The initial charge is usually applied as soon as you sign up, which has to be about 14 calendar days before your service can be activated.  The monthly billing date becomes the date your first service 'went live', which is also the day your 12-month contract started.

You therefore have about two weeks before your contract expires which, as already suggested, is a good time to get in touch with the Options Team and negotiate a deal before the price for your product/package goes up.

I have checked this for you and your contract ends on the 25/11/2016.

If you would like to stay with Plusnet and look for a new deal please contact our customer options team on 0800 013 2632 and select option 1 then option 2 and they will be able to assist you with this and get you the best deal for you.

I did indeed phone the number mentioned above.

On the line, for ages, and ages. Never did speak to a human.

 

I then tried through the 'Chat'. 

Person on the other end offered a deal of £30.98 a month. For a basic no-frills broadband service, no calls. 

Currently doing the transfer to Origin Broadband.
