I am with Plusnet (fibre) and have an old TG582n connected to an Openscreech modem. My son *was* with Plusnet, but has now moved elsewhere. He has/had a Plusnet Hub One which is now redundant. Plusnet have not asked him to return the old router. My question is:
Do Plusnet want the old router back, or do you mind if I use it. I'd rather like to convert it to OpenWRT...
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Routers supplied by Plusnet become the property of the user. Once they become redundant it is up to the user what use they make of it.
So you can happily reconfigure it if desired. Have fun -
