What, if anything, does the referred person get? (searched FAQ's etc....)

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but if I refer someone, what's the incentive to them to use the referral process?
What do they get? I can't find any information on that, maybe I've looked in the wrong place. Crazy

The only thing they get is the warm fuzzy feeling of helping to pay your internet bill  Grin

Ah well, they can do that anyway of course without putting in a referral code.  Cry

My last one was virtually by accident, met him while out shopping, talked to him while SWMBO talked to the other.  two days later sayw him again to betold he had signed up  - two days before end of last offer- my benefit 6 times 75p
Two days later - how do I!!!  one he had got a package from someone new laptop plus installation - whoever it was didnt know much about filters, had to go round and sort out his funny phone plugs cost £2.00
next who do I use my Google browser, he hadnt realised that it was a frame on top of his I.E.
How do I set up my e-mail?
I  must add think he is well over 70 and has got Parkinsons.  arnt I a good boy, gave me a warm feeling in my pants

@HPsauce I said not to mention it. Wink
I've found it hard going persuading people with no IT experience to move from what they call a safe option when what they actually mean is 'the devil they know'. (BT, AOL etc)

AOL is the numpties choice isn't it.
Maybe PN could give them a pound off their first bill?

AOL is, in my experience, actually quite a good broadband service - provided you don't install their nanny-state software.
Even if you do, with young kids around, it does it's job.
Some sort of "referees discount" would be good. Not sure what would fit well in the PN charging/contract model though.  Undecided

Fair question - maybe an incentive to someone to put their referer account or name details in would help persuade us to recommend.
Maybe we should go on strike and withdraw our banners  Smiley

As it stands we don't have anything other than experience to recommend plusnet.
When companies are advertising broaband for 7.50 or even free how can you compete?

Yes the question has been answered and the answer is absolutely nothing at present which is my point.
In order to nail a referral we need something to offer them

So would you give up some of your referral credit? or are you expecting Plusnet to put up prices/reduce costs to cover the additional cost.

Re: What, if anything, does the referred person get? (searched FAQ's etc....)

Maybe a bit of both?
With an incentive to both parties the rate of referrals should rise, as should the success/closure rate on recommendations so PlusNet benefit too and can put a bit more money in.
I'd be happy to see a referral bonus that maybe started at a reduced rate and increased after say 6, 9 or 12 months.
