Varification of account message

Today Sat 21 st June  I recieved an email which seems very authentic from plusnet asking me to varify my account because there has been a number of failed attempts too log into my account?? and giving me 7 days to do so before my account is temporaly locked. When I click onto the proceed to varification button I was taken to Ebay next attempt I was taken too Linkedin.

Is this a silly scam ?

Regards

Yes

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I have had that too. I'm treating it as a scam because it's impossible to ask Plusnet themselves about it. Now if we had an email address for them we could forward it to them. And no, I do not have an X account.

Re: Varification of account message

It can be reported by forwarding to the National Cyber Security Centre

report@phishing.gov.uk

and to Plusnet

abuse@plus.net

The examples shared around here state that if you’ve got questions then contact Plusnet support.  The support pages detail both how to contact the support desk and to how deal with suspicious email messages.
