Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

Wasn't sure where to ask this, however, I am presently on 40/10 unlimited fibre. My minimum contract term expires in April.

I would like to possibly change, before then, to 80/20 (fibre extra). Will it be just a matter of contacting COT to see what they can offer and if acceptable make the change before April? Obviously I will have to agree another minimum term if I want a good offer.

Re: Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

I'm in the same boat so to speak. My contract ends at the beginning of March and thinking of upgrading to 80/20. I'm hoping this can be done for 12 month contract starting in March.

Re: Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

I used chat Pete and they were able to sort a new, v. good deal for me. Upgrade happening tomorrow.😀

So I've answered my own question too without any "expert" input.

No idea why this was moved to billing and accounts, neither of which are relevant.

Nice one. I think I'll do the same and see where it leads nearer the time.  Thumbs_Up

Re: Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

Should have left well alone.Angry On 40/10 I was getting 37+ down and 9+ up.

Now on 80/20 it's 5.43 down and 14.01 up according to BT Wholesale speed test.

I've taken a screenshot, how do I post in on here?

Re: Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

What speeds were you expecting? Did you check what your line is capable of on the DSL checker?

Re: Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

Well, I was at least expecting the same as on the 40/10 package!Roll_eyes

That DSL checker states -

VDSL Range A clean High 80, low 66.6 down. High 20, low 19 up.

VDSL Range B impacted High 80, low 59.4 down. high 20, low 18.6 up.

Re: Unlimited fibe to fibre extra.

Looks like you should be getting very good speeds.

What speeds are showing on the Help Desk tab in the router?

Is the router plugged into the master socket?

Is it a filtered master socket?

Have you tried plugging it into the hidden test socket?
