Trying to get a Full Fibre connection

We are based near the centre of the City of Inverness and have Full Fibre in the street. I am trying to get a new FFTP connection to replace the FTTC connection we currently have, but every time I go to the website I get a message saying that it's not available in our area. There's clearly a problem on the database but I don't know how to contact someone who can fix this. Please help.

A member of staff can submit an ORDI (OpenReach Database Integrity) request to OR to check things. You can either wait and hope a staff member picks up this thread or you can phone in - try the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632
Are you sure it's OpenReach that installed the network amd not one of the AltNets? Use the address version of the following to check neighbouring addresses for Full Fibre (you're looking for WBC FTTP). If it shows then you have ammunition to support your theory it's an OR database problem.

@InvMensShed welcome to the forum.
It could be the Full Fibre offering is not via the Openreach network
https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/broadband-coverage this should hopefully give some indications on who is?
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

@InvMensShed Yo City Fibre does.u will need to go to a City Fibre ISP, Openreach who Plusnet uses does not have Fibre in your area.

Thanks bmc. That shows that FTTP isn't available from Openreach. I'll try the Ofcom link.
E2A: Thanks dan_the_van. The Ofcom link shows that both Openreach and City Fibre should be available. I'll try to establish which it is.
E2A: Thanks Mustrum. I have tried City Fibre and they also say that it's not available in our area!
It looks like I'll have to change ISP. I use Zen at home so I'll give them a try and see how we get on.

It's entirely possible you have both OR and CityFibre available to you - I have both.
Have you checked neighbouring addresses for OR Full Fibre?
If it's CF only then you you'll have to leave PN as they only use the OR network. If this is the case, I would have a look at Zen Internet (there are other ISP's on CF).

Can you post a screen image of the Ofcom results (hiding your details first)? Something doesn't seem right.

Hi Brian,
Thanks. Here's a screendump from the OfCom page. I haven't bothered to hide the details as it's no secret where our Shed is.
There are definitely adjacent premises with FTTP (Scottish YHA for example).

You should have hidden your details. However, it gave me the chance to run the Address Checker. Full Fibre is not showing for the handfull I checked.
What does the OR website say for your post code - www.openreach.co.uk

Thank all for the help so far. I have finally managed to get some sense from the City Fibre website. By going to the Business section I have at least got to a form I can fill in. Beginning to feel like I'm making some progress!

It also gave me the chance to check Zen Internet.
Your address doesn't appear to be listed under the post code on the Zen Site. On checking others Full Fibre appears to be available for numbered porperties on Victoria Drive but not for the named addresses. I think it's on the CF network for am not certain.

Hi Brian,
It says they are planning to build between now and December 2026. Let's hope that happens before the copper connection gets cut off!
It looks like we'll have to go with CF and Zen.

You haven't said when your current contract ends. If you leave PN early you'll suffer Early Termination Charges. You'll also lose PN email and any other add ons you may have.
At least Zen does both phone and internet if that matters.
The copper connection doesn't get cut off as such - they simply stop offering phone services over it using the PSTN.

Hi Brian,
Our contract has another 6 months to run so I doubt we'll be into early termination penalties. However the price doubles as soon as the 18 month contract ends so we are going to be penalised one way or the other!

Leave in the near future and you will pay ETC's. The closer to the end of contract you are the less the ETC will be. Also the longer you leave it might allow OR back in the game if they start building.
Your address was showing on the Zen page - just slight different from the image you originally posted. The clue was in your "tag" - my mind caught up eventually.
