Tesco Broadband &Phone Unlimited Downloads Anytime phonecalls for £25.40 PM

Tesco are offering 14Mb speed, unlimited broadband, and anytime phone calls at £22.40 PM for the first 12 months, and then £25.40 PM thereafter on a 12 month package.
Why is my account limited to 10Gb for almost the same money?
They also offer the same Technicolor 582N Pro Router free with the deal.
I'm told that Plusnet (BT) is the service provider.
Why haven't I been offered unlimited download on an unlimited broadband service operated by the same service provider used by Tesco, i.e. Plusnet?  Angry

Tesco, BT and Plusnet are 3 independent Internet Service Providers.

Thanks for that Mike.
Unfortunately I've stll got a few months to go to end of contract. However, I'm thinking od leaving PN for pastures new after a cockup at the exchange left me without a phone service for about a week, and the BB speed has been attrocious.
Regards.

Plusnet  and Openreach are part of the BT empire of service providers.
They may have separate bank accounts for tax purposes.

Your welcome
Anything done at the exchange is done by BT Openreach , so if i mistake or fault was to happen it would no difference who you ISP is.
Have you raised a fault with PN to look into your slow speeds?

Interestingly, seems to specify a USB port Huh ( follow the spec link from here http://www.tescobroadband.com/router )
I didn't think PlusNet had any ADSL ones with USB ports anymore...

Your getting confused , Openreach is not a service provider the run/maintain the exchanges etc..  they operate independently of BT, PN, and all other ISPs They have to treat all ISPs equal. PN is owned by BT but is run independent of them.

Thank you Chris.
I'll give your offer some thought and get back to you. Do you have a personal contact number or url?
I was back on line  yesterday thanks to a very nice and competent  Openreach engineer, Dave Doman, who did the diagnosis and necessary correction work at the Willocroft Exchange in Spondon.
Kind regards.

It appears the Strat Forum moderator, (AKA Fcel, more like Faeces) is very prompt at removing any constructive critisism of PN from the forum.
Pity he can't do the same with cockups at the exchange when they occur.

The moderator is 'doing his job' correctly, though he's a 'volunteer' and a customer, like you and I, (not to be confused with a Staff Member).
No constructive criticism is removed (not deliberately anyway), only full quotes of preceding posts (as noted).
