Question #37185335
5:10pm, Thursday 18 Nov 2010
Home Phone activated yesterday, 17 Nov, and my next billing date is 10 Dec.
Service Notices, and the emails received today, confirm that I am being correctly billed pro rata -
Rental £8.63 + Call Plan £3.83 = Total £12.46
However, my Itemised Bill (attached) is showing -
Rental £8.63 + Call Plan £5 = Total £13.63
Please amend the Itemised Bill to show the correct amount.
Answer
7:13am, Sunday 21 Nov 2010
Thank you for your query. The price for your call plan displayed on the Itemised bill is for a full month this is correct however the amount we will be invoicing you for will be the pro amount of £3.83.
How can it be correct to show one item as pro rata and the other for the whole month? Surely a 'Payment Summary' should be, er, a summary of what I pay?

HI 4C,
I see what you mean there. I'll raise it with the appropriate people. However I can assure you that the payment that is currently processing is for £12.46. You can view that particular invoice here.

Joanne,
This appears to be a more general problem.
I have migrated mine plus four of my referral accounts to Talk Anytime this month and this anomaly appears on all of them.
The problem appears to be that the CALL PLAN Charge in the Home Phone/ Itemised Bill Tab is not being Pro-Rated.

Thanks JoJo and Wheel_nut
It would appear likely, then, to be a billing system bug.
It's no big deal in reality, as I realised that the amount being invoiced was correct. I raised a ticket to point out the error, as there's no point in having a payment summary within itemised billing if it's not accurate.
If the ticket reply had acknowledged the error, that would have been acceptable. What is not acceptable is being told that the itemised bill is correct when patently it is not - hence my bringing it to the forum.

Yeah bug. We've not over charged, it's just that screen which isn't displaying the charge correctly.
We've raised a problem for it.
