So I got an e-mail from BT today, telling me that I can now get BT Infinity etc blah blah, so I had a look at some of the packages on the PN site, and they are offering fibre bundled with phone services. Currently I am on an old broadband package called Plusnet Unlimited, and I have the option in my account area to switch to a few different fibre packages. I am quite interested in going for this one:
This package does not seem to include a phone product which is fine, as I am quite happy to keep paying my phone bill separately. I am just wondering, if I select this package from here will I then automatically be given an option to select a date for an engineer to come out and install the fibre, and is the installation included in the package.. it says £25.00 activation fee but I'm not sure if that's inclusive of the installation.
Quote Plusnet Extra Fibre
250GB Usage Allowance
69Mb download speed (estimated)
20Mb upload speed (estimated)
Unlimited overnight usage between midnight-8am
Ideal for large families, home workers, downloaders and gamers
18-month contract
£25.00 activation fee - FREE activation if you take a home phone product

Hi there,
You can get phone along with Extra Fibre if you wish and that will mean you don't pay the £25 activation fee. That fee is the installation/activation charge, so if you don't take phone and pay it yes that covers the installation as well (including the extension kit if you require that - that's free )
Hope that helps explain.

Thanks for that. I was also just wondering. If I don't get the phone package is there still a chance my number will need to change?
