Switch from direct debit to debit card


there was a problem with my direct debit, so I've entered my card details so they can be used for payment instead. The amount due was supposed to leave my account on 4th January, but the payment still shows up as "pending". I've already tried to pay the amount online, but the corresponding page doesn't seem to work (maybe because the amount isn't overdue?). Do I just have to wait for a bit longer or is there a problem with my account? It also says in my account that the card details will be used for me next payment (so not for the last one?). Hope you can help me with this.
