Re: Signing up to plusnet, £3 price rise for the off???

The payment summary says I'll pay £24.50 until 31.3.25 when it increases by £3, but the contract states my cost increases every March 31 by £3,

@Ashestoashes did you really mean I'll pay £24.50 until 31.3.26 ?

There's a comment on the ISP article linked earlier

I renewed my EE mobile contract today. The offer was very clear that the next price rise was “From 31 March 2026” but in several places the text referred to 2025, so I think they haven’t updated everything on the website yet. I have copies of it all and we’ll see what happens.

I suspect PN may be in the same situation, parts of the system have been updated , others not...

Re: Signing up to plusnet, £3 price rise for the off???

Oops yes I did. It should be "contract will increase by £3 from 31 March 2026" (not 2025, my mistake). Thanks for your help Mr W. I think you may be right – the standard contract wording may need amending or is superceded by the info in the new contract summary. Either way, it's incorrect and misleading to say both! I've asked PN customer service via Instagram my Q too. I'll post here when I get a response. Have a great weekend!

Re: Signing up to plusnet, £3 price rise for the off???

My approach to renewals has always been to see what my neighbour could get as a new customer.....

Then phone COTs to ask why I can't get the same deal. Nine times out of ten I either get the same deal or only a pound or so more. At the same time I check when the annual increase will be - The above shows the first increase should now be in 2026.

Hey @Ashestoashes,

I have responded to your DM on Instagram however I will leave my message here as well.

I have contacted our Customer Options Team regarding this for you. If you renew your contract without upgrading or changing any of your products, that contract would automatically go live once your current contract ends, meaning you would be subjected to the current contract’s monthly price (including price increase) until the new contract takes effect. However, if you decide to upgrade your services, i.e change to a broadband-only service (SOGEA) or Full Fibre, then that contract would go live as soon as the upgrade completes.
