Ridiculous bill amount

My plusnet bill has nearly tripled and my service is much worse.

Anyone able to shed some light on why my bill has gone from approximately £27 to £62? My service is intermittent at best, can't get signal in a few rooms in my house so it's lucky I have unlimited data on my mobile phone. I'm extremely close to ending my contract with plusnet because of this extreme hike in price for service which is much worse to what I'm used to receiving.

I know there i always a yearly increase, this isn't what my issue is. My issue is that my bill has increased over 200% which is not acceptable no matter the terms and conditions

Have you reached the end of your contract and not renewed ? , therefore gone onto the standard out of contract pricing ?

Re: Ridiculous bill amount

No I'm fully within contract. Have finally got ahold of plusnet and they are refunding me, couldn't give me a reason why and have been told my 'discounts' when I renewed haven't been applied.
Still very concerning, I ran out of contract about a year ago and just carried on without contract and my bill only increased by, at most, £5. I've renewed a new one since so I shouldn't have had over 200% increase to the bill

Re: Ridiculous bill amount

This has happened to many of us over the years. Plusnet's has a crazy scheme of giving discount(s) instead of quoting a price and sticking to it. Add this to an appalling accounts system and you have a recipe for chaotic billing and angry customers until the long-suffering staff can sort things out -- which they always did eventually.

We have always enjoyed excellent BB/phone service and the staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful when we  call them to haggle over each new contract, but the accounting thereafter ... we've learned to love PN for its eccentricities. We see it as the Fawlty Towers of the broadband world, and we'll be very reluctant to change.
