Renewed contract for 18 months but bill shows different price

I just renewed my existing contract and the price was shown as £27.99 per month
I just got my first bill and the price is showing as £28.63 per month

@cjags Does the bill cover a period partly at the 'out of contract' price and partly at the new price ?
Check the detailed pages for applicable charges and periods

My renewal co-incided with the billing date so billing didn't have to do any refunding or adjustments.
Also the home page when I login is showing the current price as £28.63

Something is wrong here if those dates are correct as that infers that it is a one month contract. Did you get an email when you recontracted which set out the prices?
Looks like you will need to speak to Plusnet.

The detail is from the bill for the first month of the nwe contract.
Yes pre contract documents show £27.99 as the price

@cjags looks like the billing system has 'forgot' about the small discount on the Line rental to get the price down to the quoted price!

Plusnet system is now showing the correct monthly amount in the account summary, but the first bill (23 Sept) still has the wrong amount and the Direct Debit going out in the next 2 days will take too much.

The 23 Sep bill has charged £28.63 for 23 Sep to 22 Oct.
This should be £27.99
There is also £1.25 of referral bonus so the bill total should be £26.74, not £27.38

@cjags yup, there's a small discount missing on the Line rental. Traditionally all discounts were applied only to the broadband component. However, these days, the broadband component of often fully discounted and so to get down to the offer price a small additional discount is made against the line rental. That seems to be missing from your invoice!

Phoned accounts.
They have had a look and will sort it out via extra discount on the next bill (October).
Then bills after that should be ok (November+).
It looks like the September bill got created before the new contract rates hit my account so it has the old contract line rental.
