Renewal email

My email says this:

This does not take account of any call plans or discounts you may have. If you decide to leave before the end of your current contract you can do so without paying any early termination fees by getting in touch with us on 0800 587 1942 and giving 14 days’ notice. Once your current contract ends you’ll need to still give us this notice and during this period charges would continue to apply.

I've been told the email is wrong. Its pretty black and white to me. Plusnet agent tried to tell me it was for upgrading your service.

Anyone else got this?

Thanks

@damianmcr

As an irregular poster, you possibly are not aware of the forum rule on bumping.

General Forum Etiquette

Bumping is adding to a thread just to push it back to the top of the board. This is not permitted, with the exception of the Chit Chat board.

@damianmcr

I would strongly advise against doing that as a suspension of your forum access would hinder a resolution of your issue.

Re: Renewal email

Hi there @damianmcr, I do apologise for the delay in responding to you.

I'd absolutely agree that it looks pretty black and white, I'm struggling myself to determine where any deviation from such exact wording could be made. Would it be possible to upload a screenshot of the email itself (with your personal details removed)? You can do this in a private message to myself if you would be more comfortable with this. This is just so I am able to send a copy of it to the appropriate team to ask for their input.

I have had confirmation from a manager in our Customer Options team that you absolutely should be able to leave under the terms in the email, and I've raised a support ticket on your account detailing as such, should you want to contact us to do so again.

Re: Renewal email

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Here are some screenshots:

Hopefully they work..

What does this mean if I switch supplier now? My contract is to the 3rd of June. If i left today would I still owe the money due for the remainder of the contract or does the early termination fee of approximately £11 per month normally apply? So in this case I would possibly owe nothing as I pay in advance?

Thanks again and sorry if I came across as rude bumping the thread.
