We are a local cricket club who has a residential broadband account with Plusnet. The account was taken out in a an old committee members name at the cricket clubs address. The committee member is no longer involved with the club and who we have no contact with. Everything on the account is with the cricket club details apart from the name which is in the persons name and the payments also come out of the cricket clubs bank account.
We are looking at changing the account from a residential account to a business account but without the old committee members consent whose name the account is in we are being advised there’s nothing we can do.
Does anybody know of a way round this by a) either canceling the current residential account or b) getting the account transferred to a business account.
Would plusnet accept a signed letter on club letter head paper from the secretary advising the old committee member is no longer involved with the club and request to cancel the account or transfer it over.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
