Re contracting?

Could someone give an idea when it is best to contact for re contracting.
One pn staff member has advised after the new year while another has said in the last three months.
When is the best time.  Confused

Re: Re contracting?

Last two years I have phoned 3 weeks before the start of the new timed period -gives time to consult other ISPs if the initial offer isn't good enuf ! Wink

Re: Re contracting?

I tend to phone about 3 weeks before the end of my contract. The results have been variable and a lot seems to depend on who you speak to. I wonder whether each PN staff  has a set amount they can give in discounts. This year I got an average deal but a friend who phoned on the same day got a really good one. I phoned back and got a bit more discount but nowhere near as good as his deal. Been with PN for many years and often have to phone two or even three times to get them to match or get near what is available from competitors. Sometimes paid a little more than Talktalk etc because of good customer service but getting worried that it is slipping from reports in various fora although it has been OK for me.
