Qustion about contract and early termination fees

I'm a long term PN customer and I currently have just under two months left on my current 18 month Plusnet (FTTC) contract.
The contract is due to end on the 24th of December.
If I was to leave Plusnet and change to a different ISP and change to FTTP, is there an agreed date for the switch that can be agreed on?
The current termination date of the 24th is not ideal being so close to Christmas.
Does anyone know what the daily Early Termination Charge (ETC) is for Plusnet? I'm considering if it might be worth switching prior to December 24th and possibly paying for any ERC.
The property is not enabled for FTTP, does an engineer visit prior to the service going live and connect the property for FTTP, test that all is good and then all I do is wait for the new service date to start and new router to arrive?
Thanks!

@GrKPN3 Is FTTP available to you - check here: https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL , or here (if your don't have landline phone): https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
You cannot get an agreed date, especially if you are changing products - FTTP installation depends on Openreach engineer availability once you have placed the order.
ETCs in your case would be minimal, but to get an accurate figure - based on the day you contact hem, you need to call customer Options on 0800 013 2632.
As above, installation is based on BTOR engineer availability - once your order is accepted.

What drives the thought of leaving Plusnet for FTTP ... unless there is no BTOR FTTP provision there, but there is an Alt Net provider?
£24 for FTTC comparable speeds seems like a fair price ... though I have not looked around much.

FTTP is available in my area, there are a few providers that I'm considering that offer FTTP (symmetrical) but also providers that don't increase prices mid contract.

So, you have a choice of using suppliers over the BTOR network, or altnets?

You pay for the service a month in advance. Consequently, any ETC after the 24th November will, in reality, be a reduction in the amount that you will be refunded for the days between the date that you leave and the 24th December. It will not be an additional bill.

Absolute maximum ETC you would pay is one months charge given you've already paid for this month.
If it's CityFibre, I would consider Zen Internet - well regarded with an excellent router. If also does VOIP if your phone number matters.
The only thing to consider is if you use PN email - if not migrated alread to Greenby then you'll lose the address.
