Hi there
I'm looking to start a unlimited broadband fibre 18-month contract, and the price I was quoted both online and via phone for my postcode, was £24.50 + £5 set-up fee.
However, according to http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.AddressOutput and verified by the guy I spoke to on customer support, my post code is in a low-cost area (This line is on a Market B Exchange).
Unless I'm reading the wrong thing, https://www.plus.net/help/legal/plusnet-price-guide-for-residential-products/ Table 2 shows the same unlimited broadband fibre 18 month contract to be £17.49 for the first 18 months.
What's going on?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@jfairhead Welcome to the forum.
It’s probably not connected with Market Areas. it’s £17,49 if you also pay another organisation for your phone service. It’s £24.49 if you want Plusnet to supply both your phone service and internet access.
Note that you cannot have broadband unless you pay for the phone line.

£24.50 is a new customer introductory price which includes the line rental.
I think none of the broadband prices in the price guide include the line rental. Line rental is listed separately in the Plusnet Phone price guide section.
