Bill dated 02/08/2025
Monthly charge of £30.77, which is higher than both my previous contract amount (£26.59) and the new amount (£28.99). Please can the breakdown below (copied from the bill) be explained, as it is unclear.
Breakdown: (Fibre -£23.68, Full Fibre 300 £1.16, Full Fibre 300 £25.54, Full Fibre 300 £35.99, Discount £3.95, Discount -£5.19, Discount -£7.00)

This looks like part period billing. See the detailed section for the start and end dates for each charge line.

@fj26 as @Townman says , it looks like you changed products part way through your billing period.
You pay monthly in advance, so when you change products what happens on the next monthly bill is :-
1) A refund of a part month of the old product
2) A charge of part month of the new product
3) An advance charge of the new product for the next month
From your post it looks like your new FF 300 is £2.40 ( £28.99 - £26.59 ) more expensive than your old Fibre product.
Your new bill is £1.78 ( £30.77 - £28.99 ) more than your ongoing charge, so it looks like you changed products about 1/4 the way into your billing period.
As @Townman says , it should be clear if you check the dates applicable to each bill entry in the detailed breakdown. If you are still unclear then post a copy of the detailed breakdown and we'll be happy to explain
