Prorata Adjustment for Unlimited Fibre Extra - Market 2/3 on bill

This month's bill for £14.99 has come through as follows:

1 Unlimited Fibre Extra - Market 2/3 charge 07/03/2017 to 06/04/2017£19.99

1 Call Plan charge 07/03/2017 to 06/04/2017 £0.00

1 Line Only charge 07/03/2017 to 06/04/2017 £0.00

1 Prorata Adjustment for Unlimited Fibre Extra - Market 2/3 -£5.00

It's an 18 month contract, £10 for first 6 months and then £19.99 thereafter. I'm obviously not complaining that there is a £5 discount but can someone explain what this is for? Have looked on other posts on here and can't find the answer.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Prorata Adjustment for Unlimited Fibre Extra - Market 2/3 on bill

Hi there @rainbowgirl257 first of all a warm welcome to the community forums

When your phone service went live, your contract began and the initial charge you paid formed the first month.

Since you paid for your fibre within this initial fee you were essentially paying for something you couldn't use until the fibre was activated at the later date.

The pro rata discount was then created automatically to cover this.

I hope this helps clarify things but please feel free to let me know if you have any further queries.
