I am looking to renew my contract, on the 2nd of July It was £23.99 a month today it has gone up to £26.99. Is plusnet now like an auction site where you stop when you see a price that you like?.
For a new customer the price is £23.99 a month plus £10 activation fee and they get a discount of £70 which is a saving of £114 on what I will have to pay. So much for customer loyalty.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Customer loyalty? What's that these days? ISPs, Insurance companies etc. don't understand the concept.
Rather than wait for an offer you like why not be pro-active, ring customer services, threaten to leave and haggle until you get to a price that you are happy with or move on? Forget the £70 joining sweetener included in new customer deals, the key is to do a comparison with competitors offerings and use that in negotiating a new contract.

Hi bl12ust308
Where do you get a saving of £114 I make it £96
You will pay £26.99 x 12 = £323 .88 a new customer will pay £23.99 x 12 = £287.88 plus £10 = £297.88 minus the £70 = £227.88 I make that £96 where am I going wrong
I would ring the I'm thinking of leaving team and ask what they can offer

Well I got a new contract starting on 09/07/2020 at £23.99 for 18 months. I did have a prepaid line rental until September. This morning I got a bill for £33.62 which has me puzzled.it has various charges and discounts including two seperate line rental charges one for £14.83 and one for £19.99.
I was half expecting a small rebate on the line rental.
Bill reads
Monthly charges
£33.62
Voicemail £0.00
Line only £0.00
Line rental£0.00
Line rental £14.83
Line rental 19.99
unlimited fibre - £11.86
unlimited fibre £11.86
unlimited fibre 15.99
discount £3.70
It has me baffled

Can I just thank Plusnet for increasing the price of my broadband in these Covid lockdown times?
I'm out of contract, so I don't expect to see the price going up, for supplying the same product.
Has the price of bits gone up?
The same old bits of wire & fibre are still being used.
